On their first night in the soop, the members enjoyed budae jjigae made by Suga and flatfish sashimi prepared by Jin!
The members ate the flatfish sashimi with chojang. Chojang or chogochujang is a sweet, spicy and tangy sauce often found on the side of seafood dishes in Korea. It is delicious paired with raw or cooked seafood dishes! You can even eat the sauce with boiled vegetables.

It’s a super simple and easy sauce to make with a few ingredients!

Chojang (Chogochujang)
Chojang aka Chogochujang is a sweet, spicy and tangy Korean condiment that is often served with seafood and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp honey or rice syrup
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together and serve!
Notes
This can be stored in an airtight container for a few days in the fridge. Delicious with any types of sashimi!
